Because I love the Rootote and Paris…

November 30, 2008 Paris B 15 Comments

… I got me one with a map of the city of Paris on it! 😀

See the Eiffel Tower! See the Arc de Triomphe! See just how cheesey it all is when I tell you I’m called Paris B! 😀

But no, my moniker was not the reason I got this – I do love Paris and I have been hankering so badly to go back its not funny. Maybe if I carry around a bag with a map of Paris on it and wish hard enough I might just find myself heading there soon? One can but hope…

This is my second Rootote after my first one I got the first time Tiny Tapir brought them in. These things are addictive! This one called “Capital” is in a 16oz sturdy cotton canvas which is different from my first Rootote which was polyester. Thus, this new one is more pliable and because its slightly more luxe, has a magnet closure which I find incredibly useful. The base and handles are smooth PVC. The handles feel a little shorter but it still slings comfortably. It was RM70.

While I was in Tiny Tapir, I also saw another Rootote in Tuta which is even more lux. It is laminated so it is waterproof and I love the metallic silver/gold touches on the handles and trim. It is seriously cute and I was so torn when I had to walk off without getting it. I’m telling myself I can only have one so perhaps I’ll reserve that material for another time LOL… Now, will someone just go and buy it already so it doesn’t mock me every time I check out the site?! 😛

Hey this was my very first choice too! I wasn’t sure of the quality of the bag back then, so I got a conventional black one instead.

Zis one is tres chic, dahlink! 😉

Very lovely! I was checking out Artbox if there were new ones brought in but no…there is another shop here that sells and is available online but I haven’t checked them out. I think I know the metalic one you’re talk about. I like that when I saw it on the Rootote site.

That’s one cute bag! I’ve never heard of Tiny Tapir until I see the link here. They’ve heaps of cute bags.

I found your blog a couple of days ago and now am bookmarking it. I’m a Malaysian living overseas and it’s hard to find the prices and availability of cosmetic brands in KL since my friends who are living in KL are mostly guys or girls who aren’t so crazy about cosmetics like myself. 🙂

I tell stories on Instagram @parisbmws

An “I’ll be out all day and need my makeup to An “I’ll be out all day and need my makeup to stay on” look 😅 Super simple and using stuff I already own. How many do you recognise? 😅

For the base I think the key is the Nars setting powder which is basically a silica powder. Many brands have similar white powder for setting. I did this same look yesterday and it barely budged/faded by evening. Only lipstick needed a little topping up 😊

And this is about all the makeup I can handle these days 😂 no eye makeup cos I can’t be arsed 🤪
Been ages since I’ve gone to a big pasar malam ( Been ages since I’ve gone to a big pasar malam (night market). Popped by the one in SS2. Frenetic. Crowded. Lots of food and drink. Excellent good fun! 😆 Your eyes always want more than your stomach can handle. Ate a lot and bought even more food back home. Diet? What diet? 😂
Will have to admit that this serum from @drsambunt Will have to admit that this serum from @drsambunting had me curious about Azelaic acid. It’s a pretty good serum for brightening if Vit C isn’t quite your thing. It’s a 4-in-1 combo of pretty potent ingredients.

Posting for posterity because I like this photo 😆 Also hello! 😜

It’s interesting that when I meet people they always ask me “Are you still blogging?” which tells me they don’t read my blog anymore (cos if they did they’d know I am lol! Weekly generally, but still writing) Yet I don’t blame them because a lot of social credit is placed on one’s Instagram presence. This I fear, is an area I am lacking. I pop in every now and then, share stories that are totally unrelated to what people follow me for, then wonder why they unfollow lol! Other times, spider webs gather in the corners of my unused account. I don’t blame them. Not everyone wants to know what my dogs are up to 😜

Anyway I make no apologies. It’s ok if you follow. It’s ok if you don’t. It’s ok if you’re interested in stuff I do. It’s ok if you’re not. Life goes on for both you and I and ultimately, we just both want it to be happy. So do what makes you happy 😊 I’ll still share my beauty finds and I still blog once a week. I may share what I’m up to from time to time, or I may not. I can tell you that I’m keeping busy and that I have a lot on my plate, none of it glamorous unlike that of most content creators/influencers. It’s too boring for most for me to share here so I’ll just share the good bits - as Instagram intended 😂

But if you want to find me, you’ll know how 😊

The review for the product is somewhere on the blog mywomenstuff.com
Yes I know many of you are terrified of lizards 🦎🫣

But I liked this sunscreen - for the body. Even though it left a white cast. Even though it is hard to remove. It kept my arms protected through a weekend of brutal sun exposure and I survived without burning! ✌🏻
