My first Paul & Joe Cosmetics!

September 19, 2008 Paris B 23 Comments

This morning, I was raring to hit a luxury sale in town that was supposed to feature brands like Coach (!!) and Jimmy Choo shoes (!!!!) at up to 70% off. However, when I got to the venue at 10am, the line was so long I estimated it would take me at least 1 hour waiting time just to get into the hotel ballroom where the sale was at. So, I ditched it. Yep, walked out of the line after wasting 10 minutes of my life time 🙂

Instead, I headed off to Isetan at Lot 10 where I knew a Paul & Joe Cosmetics sale was on. And boy! Was I rewarded! It was quiet and I had all the time and space to browse in and chat to the sales people without grabbing or pushing – bliss!! This is what I picked up.

Paul & Joe cosmetics
  • Save

1) Paul & Joe Protective Dual Powder Foundation with SPF25 PA++ No. 11 Lumiere (RRP RM159)
2) Paul & Joe Waterproof Curly Mascara in Noir (RRP RM86)
3) Paul & Joe Face Color in Pomme Doree – gold highlight/eyeshadow (RRP RM68)

I’ve never owned anything by Paul & Joe Cosmetics so getting their star products at a discount was awesome! When I saw the mascara, I knew this is what Nikki loves so I knew I had to try it. 😛 See how bad we all are for each other?! So, its all your fault I ended up with so many Paul & Joe items Nikki!!!

I got everything above for RM167 which is just a little more than paying full price for a foundation! Paul & Joe are well known for giving out awesome cute GWP products but I think I’m happier with the discounts 🙂 Reviews will follow as I test the products.

The Cosmetics sale at The Gallery Isetan at Lot 10 started today (only Isetan members today) is ongoing and feature Kanebo, Paul & Joe, Laura Mercier, Annick Goutal, T. leClerc (Banane loose powders are only RM118 now from a retail of RM159!) and some other perfumes. Its just a little sale but definitely worth checking out! Discounts are from 30-50% off the retail prices. Have fun! 🙂

    WOW, Finally!!!! You have your own P&J products!!!! Hey no fair for blaming me! You went there ALONE with a choice of “to buy” or “not to buy” lol….I’m sure you like the discount that’s why you bought them! It is so worth to buy P&J stuffs if they are ON SALE! I never buy full priced P&J products, I always wait for sale then stock up! LOL Enjoy! and I’ll wait for your review!

    @Nikki : LOL… Your rave reviews made me want them 🙂 They were a good price and a good time to try this brand to see how I like it. We hardly ever get discounts on cosmetics like this (in a civilised environment) without having a crazy crush at some obscure warehouse sale. Usually P&J is all about pretty GWP products.

    I want to try the powder foundation. I heard it is very silky smooth to blend into your skin. Gosh, i miss it. I wish i am in KL now. I couldn’t find any P&J in Boston. Hopefully there will have same sales in January and February, i can stock up some. 🙂

    Hey, I was there too! *wink* Was eyeing the T.le Clerc powders cos I read your previous review on it, but had to pass cos I’d splurged on clothes downstairs. *sigh*

    So many nice things that I wanna try but not enough $$$ to go around!

    I quite like the foundation becos it’s sheer and looks pretty natural. But I agree, Paul & Joe cosmetics are so pretty. I love those special edition cases.

    @Monstro : *giggles* you arent!

    @jojoba: Yes there was a pretty goo CdP promo going on but I was in a bit of a rush so didn’t check it out. I’d only really heard of the good foundation and mascara so those are the 2 I picked up.

    @Nikki: Thanks for the input!

    Omg.. you guys who catch Paul & Joe cosmetics on sale are lucky. I live in vancouver, canada, and forget about buying the products on sale, there’s only one place which carries this line with limited products too =(
