Anna Sui Brush Stand with Brushes set – Great Value

April 17, 2008 Paris B 10 Comments

A reader emailed me to ask about which brand to go to to look for makeup brushes. I pointed her in the direction of MAC, Shu Uemura and Bobbi Brown to name a few brands I have tried. But I also pointed her in the direction of Anna Sui.

I don’t normally go to the Anna Sui counter because the products don’t all appeal to me. However, having and liking the Flat Top Blush Brush (Cheek Brush 2), I decided to check out the other brushes Anna Sui had to offer.

A very good value brush set I found was this brush set that comes in the signature Anna Sui rose design brush stand. This whole set is only RM210 and you get the following:-

  • Cheek Brush #1 (Blush Brush)
  • Eye shadow brush
  • Lip brush
  • Eyelash Curler
  • Brush Stand

I think it makes for a great starter brush set or for a nice little gift for someone. I only own one Anna Sui brush which I like. The bristles are soft and it works very well for me. You can read my review on the Flat Top Blush Brush.

I asked the sales assistant what the brushes were made of, but she did not know. From feel however, I’d say that the eye and cheek brushes are made of natural hair (pony or goat) and the lip brush is synthetic. The brush stand is cute and sturdy plastic with the embossed signature rose design of Anna Sui. It can hold quite a lot of brushes so you can continue to grow your collection. I’d get this set if I did not already have a ton of other brushes! I think I’ll write about my brushes soon.

Stay beautiful,

I have this set! I didn’t expect it being great quitly when I bought it. I got it mainly because it’s cheap and I needed that e/l brush. 😛 but it is one of the best money I invested in brushes!

the bristles are firm for the eye brushes (and they are synthetic and so no problem with sensitive eyes.) and the blush brush is very good to use. (unfortunatly this brush will be d/c’d in our country soon.)

I only have the problem with the BLACK curler as my lashes are black and it’s hard to see.

I have written something about it in my blog too if any of you wish to see it. 🙂

Jojoba: You got me curious so I went to check it out. It looks like a good buy. I saw it at Anna Sui at Isetan The Gardens.

Monstro: Try Anna Sui Isetan The Gardens. That was where I went to check it out. It looks like a good buy!

paris: that’s where I got mine! i thought it was OOS as the guy in One U Parkson told me it’s OOS. I guess even at such good price, Isetan still doesn’t have enough visitors. LOL. thanks for the information. yup, it’s a great buy. I forgot to mention that I use the lip brush as eye shadow brush now and it’s wonderful!

suetni : you can look out for Bobbi Brown’s Limited Edition makeup brushes as it comes in 3 types in length size and also with a pouch. Normally I take the mini brushes which is not too short. The last I bought consists 6 brushes and costs RM350. It includes Blusher Brush, Eye Shadow Brush, Eye Shader Brush, Ultra Fine Eyeliner Brush (for gel type), Lip Brush, Concealer Brush.

For Anna Sui Lovers including me ! 😛 They usually have warehouse sales end of the year. Their brands include, Gucci, Escada, Lacoste, and last but not least Anna Sui Cosmetics and Fragrances !!! When I get the news I’ll post it 🙂

I remember when I first tried the #antipodesskinca I remember when I first tried the #antipodesskincare Aura Manuka Honey Mask. It blew my mind away! Soothes skin. Boosts hydration and just makes you feel like you have the best skin ever! Not kidding. If you have a spot or irritated skin, it calms it down and helps get rid of your spots too. Honey is anti bacterial after all, so it’s a great multitasker.
I also love the Manuka Honey Skin brightening Day Cream. It’s light but creamy and sinks into the skin. I’ve reviewed them both on the blog in the past. If you run a search for Antipodes, you’d also notice how much I love the brand! 😁
I’m super late with this but if you’re planning to purchase any of these 3 Manuka honey items from TNS Skinlab, the code MYWSTUFF10 will give you an extra 10% off (until tomorrow 31 Dec) I highly recommend grabbing the Aura mask. You’ll never want to be without (I always have a backup!)
Thanks for the gift @tnsskinlab and I must apologise for my tardiness 😩 I’ll learn to cope better from next week!
Now I have to scuttle and write my year end musings. Some traditions must be kept! 😜

It’s my first year doing retail and honestly, I’d never been so busy! The year-end rush is unreal! But busy is good, right? At least that’s what I tell myself 😂

Place your order, and pick up in store or have it delivered.
Had a bit of breather today and put together a little video. Blink and miss my little monster 🐶 helping me shop! Not sponsored but I did receive a gift from L’Occitane, for which my sun-exposed, dry dog-walking skin thanks you!
Haven’t done any Christmas shopping this year. It has only just struck me that it’s but mere days away! 😨 Have you done yours?
