Red for the holidays!

December 10, 2007 Paris B 2 Comments

Its the end of the year, which means Christmas and New Years Eve parties and festivities. Nothing says that its the festive period like red lipstick.

Many people think they can’t pull off red lipstick but I, on the other hand, think that everyone can. Its a matter of finding the perfect red that suits you and I love wearing red lippies. It always makes me feel so glamourous and old Hollywood. When wearing red lipstick, don’t do up the rest of your face with too much colour. It detracts from your lips.

This festive period, I decided to indulge in Guerlian Kiss Kiss red lipsticks, from their holiday collection from last year. I somehow missed out on their holiday collection then but am now able to get them at a hefty discount off Strawberrynet! I’ll update once I receive them, and we’ll see if they are the perfect red for me. I’m excited! 🙂

I agree with your stand on red lipsticks. For me, Elizabeth Arden’s shades are very glam. Unfortunately, neither Clinique’s nor Mac’s work for me – I’ve had to give them away (sob, sob). Hope Guerlain’s for you!

I was given this T. Leclerc lip color… the shade is Parme Angelique…. It’s a sheer purple lipstick. I’m wondering, do you have any tips on how to match my other make up with my purple lips? I kinda like this plum color as it tones down my red lips. But it gives me a hint of purple and on my bare face, I look a little scary.
