I was approached by Herfablife.com to provide a review of their site. Herfablife promises to be Your Personal Lifestyle Guide and is a site targetted at young urban women who are interested in what young trendy women are – latest fashion styles, the newest restaurant, bar, spa, salon, retail store openings. The site is presently still in beta which means there might be potholes here and there but I did not find any.
There are specific pages for fashion styles, restaurants, stores, spas and hotels and events placed right at the top of the site which makes for easy navigation. This also means that different topics which might interest young trendy women are collated in one place and are easy to find. The site is targeted more towards women in the USA so it isn’t very useful if you live outside the USA. However, I did find a reference to one restaurant in New Zealand, and the information on the site would be a very useful reference site for anyone planning to visit USA cities listed.
The New Stores page was fun to browse through as it gave me lots of information about lesser known stores that I know I’d love to visit. Most of them have online stores so it gives you an insight into what the actual store would be like. You can even sort them by the city you are in or that you plan to visit.
According to the FAQ, the articles on Herfablife are written by or contributed by their own members, so what you are reading is a perception of a real life person who has stayed at a hotel reviewed or has eaten in a particular restaurant mentioned. It is, in a nutshell, your fav lifestyle guide.
Membership is free and if you are a blogger too, you can create a badge and use it to display articles from Herfablife on your site. In fact, I found the site so informative, I signed myself up! Not a requirement of the review, but I enjoyed reading the articles and I know that if I were ever in any of the cities, I’d Get a fab life!
