Skinny jeans are OUT!

April 19, 2007 Paris B 8 Comments

jeans

So says Life & Style of April 30 2007.

Look at the pictures. Penelope Cruz, Katie Holmes, Gwenyth Paltrow and Jessica Alba can’t go wrong no matter what they wear, but I can. And whilst skinny jeans suit the well… skinnier people with skinny legs, I’m not blessed with a pair.

So, yes I’m happy that baggier jeans are back in. I wouldn’t call those jeans baggy though. I’d call them normal. They just are flared at the bottom, for which I’m glad because they have the illusion of streamlining your legs. Skinny jeans just emphasise how NOT skinny your legs really are 😛

I just hope they don’t go back to the early 90’s with those ultra-baggy jeans. Now, that isn’t going to be fun at all!

The other day I was surfing and found that they say low waist jeans (and butt cracks) are out too. They show a pic of the jeans that go above the belly button. Ewww….like those 60s style?

What’s the point of baggy jeans? Might as well wear a potato sack. Give me REGULAR jeans anytime. Just got myself a 505, not too tatty… 😛

Lilian: wah! Buttcracks out = good but high waisted jeans = bad! Hope it doesn’t catch on

Gallivanter: True but I don’t think we’ll go down that road of jeans 3 sizes too big again

Mae: Yeah! Finally something decent eh? It would be nice for this trend to last.

Giddy Tiger: hehe… I dont’ know why they call it baggy to be honest. They fit well dont’ they?

Tine: These jeans will hide a multitude of sins eh? real or imagined 🙂

Honestly, I think skinny jeans the worst cut of jeans, ever.(high-wasted comes second)Unless u r super skinny and at least 5’7″, skinny jeans will look baaaaad on you.

Thank God the skinny madness is finally over.
