I love green eyeshadows. Somehow, they look amazing on girls with dark or brown eyes and make your eyes really stand out. Be careful though, that you don’t do a bright flourescent green from your lashline right up to your brow or you’d look like someone turned up the humidity for moss to grow!
I’ve noticed that many girls locally don’t do a lot of colour on their faces or eyes. I am possibly quite lucky in my job as I can wear practically anything or colour I want. However, to me, its a mistaken conception that colours are taboo at the workplace (unless there’s a circular saying so). You don’t need to use very bright colours all the time. Sometimes, just a hint of colour or shimmer is enough to brighten up the face.
Anyway, speaking of brightening up faces, I had a very late night yesterday due to work. I also had very little sleep. Combine the two, and what you get are sensitive red lids. As I peered into the mirror this morning, I remembered that green counteracts redness on the skin. So, I opened up my stash and decided to do a green shadow to see if it’ll work. Surprise, surprise! It did! My eyes looked less red and puffy and I looked a bit more awake.
These were the colours I used – Clover (emerald green – right most middle) and Limbo Lime (lime green – right most bottom) both by Milani Cosmetics. These aren’t available here in Malaysia and come from the USA.
So, next time you want to counteract a late night, try a touch of green on your lids. You’ll thank me for it! 🙂

Hey, I love green. I’m currently using Dragonskin from Fyrinnae. Btw, if you have not check them out, you should. They’re like the holy grail of eye shadow. Over 160 shades to choose and still adding every month. And I find them cheap. http://www.fyrinnae.com
