Chanel Paris-Biarritz bag collection 2007

March 26, 2007 Paris B 6 Comments

When I saw the new Chanel Paris-Biarritz line showcased in The Star newspaper today, I knew I had to check it out. I’ve been eyeing a lambskin quilted Chanel forever! At RM6000 for one medium sized one however, I am resigned to merely ogling it in the Chanel boutique.

That said, the bags in this new Paris-Biarritz line looks like stuff I would like as well. They are touted as Chanel’s city bags – larger bags that you can tote around the city while running your daily errands.

To be perfectly honest, I would think that toting a Chanel around town on a daily basis is just a tad too luxurious, even for me. But that doesn’t stop me ogling. 🙂

This looks like one of smooth lambskin in Chanel’s signature quilted look, with a difference. Coincidentally, it rather resembles the bag I presently carry so I can tell you that firstly, carrying a full leather bag is heavy! Secondly, the straps are a tad too short to sling over your shoulder comfortably. But hey! This is a Chanel!

This one looks like a more manageable size. If I’m not mistaken, its made of crocodile skin. Terribly lux! Crocodile skin is also a lot more expensive, probably because its harder to catch and skin a croc as opposed to a sheep/lamb!

This next one is similarly Crocodile skin. But this is definitely too large for my liking. I can just imagine how heavy it will be empty, much less when its full!

This line also comes in the season’s signature metallic colours. Gold and silver. This is touted as the more casual side to the line, though these look like more manageable sizes. I would imagine we would be seeing more of these than the ones at the top, only because the sizes are more practical.

I think I might shore up my courage and step into the Chanel boutique to check out this line. Prices start at RM4,000 (and please don’t tell me thats just for the toiletry case/clutch thing!) so checking out is all I can do at this point in time.

me too..me too a great fan of chanel bags but unfortunately still can’t make up my mind on getting one….too expensive!!
but if we r talking abt LV, gucci or dior..their price tag from RM2400 we can get quite a big bag already unlike chanel rm4000 maybe it’s just for a small pouch:(

p/s: i’m interested in the new metallic shopper bag…if u happen to be there let me know the price too ok? hehehe

    thanks

In fact I have tried this collection, the black lambskin large tote (the top picture). Agree that it is way too expensive…compare to other brands that can carry half the price (the new gold studs Balenciaga?), but to tell you the truth it is so comfortable. It has many pockets outside and inside, so for a working woman it is so OK. You can bring so many things inside, yet still look very stylish. And you can wear it everyday, so at least it will justify the price. And after a year, you still can re-sell them in a reasonable price!

emanda: I haven’t gotten round to checking them out unfortunately

Luna: Wow! I’d glad to get a first person review on it. I can imagine how soft and lux the leather must be! But I can’t justify carrying a few RM1000 around, even if I’d probably attract some envious stares in the process 😉 Thanks for dropping by!

Popped out of my hermitage to visit the amazing Jo Popped out of my hermitage to visit the amazing Jo Malone installation at Mid Valley Megamall 😍 Jo Malone has always made gifting an experience, both for giver and receiver, and this is what their Jobots are here for - to help you find that perfect gift whether for a friend, family, or for yourself each time you manage to dodge the C-bullet 😆
Go check out the Jobots at Mid Valley Megamall Centre Court & experience their signature hand and arm massages, gift boxing, personalised engraving of your perfume bottles & candle jars & play with the vending machine. You could get lucky!
No prizes for guessing which Jobot installation was my favourite! The one with the dog of course! They also had a key chain with a dog. So. Bloody. Cute!!
And after so many years finally got a photo with event organizer extraordinaire @cyrus.chin because we didn’t get the white & beige memo and came instead in (unplanned) matching sunny coral instead 😂
It felt good to have makeup on, dress up and go out for a tiny little bit, and meet people I haven’t seen in literally years! Also to enjoy the scents (hard to smell with a mask on though) and the visual delights. Go check it out. They’re there at the Centre Court until Sunday 3 July.

Not everyday I wear something decent (I still live in crummy t-shirt, shorts & sweaty athleisure most days) so it merited a photo! 😆
I put on a full face of makeup today and when it came to my eyeshadow, I had a brain fart moment and forgot where they were! 😂 Looked through 3 drawers before I saw them and even then I thought “Did I ever have THIS MANY?!” I guess I do. And before you ask, yes they’re all expired 🫢
