How to Tightline your eyes?
I’d never heard of this phrase “tightlining” until about a year ago. Before this, lining your eyelids or lashes to me, meant lining above your lashes. This was the method I used when using gel eyeliner, as I have shown in a previous post on how to use a gel eyeliner.
However, I’d read a lot of raves about a method of lining your lashes called “tightlining” which was supposed to give the illusion of bigger more natural looking eyes. Anything that can make my eyes look bigger is great! So, I decided to try it out.
The theory is simple. Get your eyeliner as close to your lashes as humanly possible to fill in the gaps (if you don’t already have thick lashes). This technique works better I feel, for ladies with lashes that are more sparse or who have light coloured lashes. The most popular way of tightlining is from UNDER the lashes. Be warned of huge scary eye pictures after the jump!

Using Cleansing Oils Effectively

To remove makeup at the end of a long day, my makeup remover of choice is the cleansing oil. Ever since I was introduced to it, I have never looked back as it leaves my skin feeling clean and soft every time.
I was discussing the use of the cleansing oil with my regular facialist and she gave me some pointers on how to use cleansing oils effectively to remove makeup. These tips coupled with some I discovered through trial and error have helped in making my skin feel cleaner and make more effective use of the cleansing oils as well. There’s More! Sleep Tight: Sweet restorative sleep

When you fall ill, what’s the first thing you feel? Tired and sleepy. Even medication from the doctor is intended to help you fall asleep because sleep is nature’s best cure.
When we sleep, our body is at rest and this is the time the body takes stock of itself and repairs what needs repairing and recharges your batteries so you can wake up the next day feeling refreshed and ready to take on a new day.
I’ve found that when I don’t have enough sleep or don’t have a good night’s sleep, not only does my energy flag during the day, my skin pays a heavy price. There’s More! Continue reading →
Help! My powder foundation goes on too thick!
I received an email from Intan one day who had a query about her makeup application. Although she had the right foundation/ compact powder colour, and used a light hand, she still felt it went on too thickly. Intan wanted to know if there were any tips to overcome this.

I have replied to Intan but I thought this was a very interesting point, so I decided to write about it here too. There’s More! Continue reading →
