Together with the Cheek Bloom in Dune Pink, I also purchased the eyeshadow duo from the Deadly Desires collection at The Body Shop. There are 2 duo eyeshadows - Khaki and Grey and I went for the grey one because I found the Khaki duo looking a little “dirty” on my skin.

After all my excitement seeing the Deadly Desires collection at The Body Shop and picking up 2 products at the airport before my holiday, I seem to have forgotten to review them! Well, to make up for it, I’m reviewing The Body Shop Deadly Desires products back to back - woot! :)

The Body Shop Deadly Desires Blush

First up, the Deadly Desires Cheek Bloom Blush in Dune Pink. This relatively large rectangular blush pan is packaged in sturdy clear lucite plastic and looks impressively like a Shu Uemura Glow On blush. I was just at The Body Shop yesterday picking up a replacement bottle of Vitamin C Skin Boost when my eyes fell on a new Body Shop makeup collection. I’ll be the first to admit that The Body Shop makeup doesn’t excite me, but for some reason my eyes were drawn to this one.

Essential Oil: Tea Tree Oil and its benefits

One of the essential oils I make sure I am never without is Tea Tree Oil. These days, this oil is very common but I remember a time when it was quite hard to get hold of this oil whether as an oil or in skincare products and I had to request friends in Australia to get them for me.

Tea Tree Oil (Melaleuca Oil) is extracted from the Melaleuca tree which is found predominantly in Australia. This explains why many skincare brands that contains Tea Tree Oil are Australian based. Tea tree oil is known to have some medicinal properties when applied on the skin and it is also supposed to be anti-bacterial and a disinfectant.
