I had so much fun doing empties posts but realised I mostly only managed to finish anything after about 2 months. However, July was an exception!
I’m on a roll! 😀 Here’s what they are, with quick recaps of what I thought of them.

Many years ago, when Kanebo Impress was first launched, I tried some products from the range. I declared myself Impressed! Well I was, truly. But I also realised later that some of the products were breaking me out a little, particularly the Impress Emulsion. I picked it up in II which was too rich and I had a full sized bottle that I eventually gave to a friend who naturally loves me for life haha… 😛
The Kanebo Impress Brightener is one of the later introductions into the Impress skincare range, launched a couple of years down the road. I was using the Kanebo Sensai Quick Radiance before, but when I used up the last drop (yes I actually do finish skincare 😛 ) I was told it was discontinued and replaced with this one – Kanebo Impress Brightener.
When I did my review on the Diorsnow Wipe Off Gel Exfoliator, I mentioned that I was using a Japanese product that performed a similar exfoliating function. Well, this is it 🙂

The number of cleansing oils I’ve dabbled in is mind boggling (read about all the cleansing oils I’ve tried here if you have the time 😛 ). The number grows day after day because I’m always a little curious about the cleansing oils out there. But how did I fall into this trap then?
Let’s start at the very beginning… 🙂
I was first introduced to cleansing oils and the concept of double cleansing through Kanebo. I’ve been going to their salons for facials for years and still am! I picked up my first bottle of the Kanebo Blanchir Make Off Conditioner there. Despite the rather strange name, what this is, is a cleansing oil – or the first step in the double cleansing routine.
I went through quite a few bottles in my time, before I started branching out. Recently, I decided to go back to this (Its gone through about 3 changes in packaging since the first time I used it) and wouldn’t you know? I fell back in love with it! So, here we are, revisiting my first love and wondering why I ever strayed 🙂

Alright, so “mess” is a bit of a wrong choice of words – “predicament” is more apt 🙂
For our first collaborative post of 2012, the merry band of Lipstick Bandits decided to take a look at either our first lipstick, or a good starter lipstick that might help win all of you over to our side. I originally had a different choice but wasn’t feeling it somehow. Then I spotted Tracy’s bit of advice on Twitter to feature instead the lipstick that made me want more. And suddenly, the ball dropped and I knew just which lipstick I wanted to feature.
Before I present you the culprit that got me into this predicament, I am compelled to tell you that this range has been discontinued. Please don’t pelt me with rotten tomatoes…. they don’t flatter my complexion much 😛 I will however tell you some alternatives to try 🙂
