Review: Makeup: Benefit Creaseless Cream Eyeshadow - My Date’s my Brother

When I previously wrote about my Benefit Creaseless Cream Eyeshadow in Skinny Jeans, I mentioned that a friend picked up a light shade - My Date’s My Brother. So, here’s a guest review by Monstro on My Date’s My Brother by Benefit Cosmetics. The first ever guest review on My Women Stuff!

I got hold of one of these recently, so I’m putting it to the test! The one I have is “My date’s my brother”.

The looks

I have to admit, it’s pretty cute. Check out those love birds on top of the box and jar. Adorable. And inside, is this note card–on one side is a picture of Ms Lana, and on the other, a quote that says “Love awaits you, so put on your lipstick.” For this, a little slap on the wrist to the twins for adding unnecessary packaging and adding to landfill waste. On the other hand, it is a lovely touch that makes me connect with the personality of the brand. So a little tip to Benefit: Keep the quirky personality, but maybe print that stuff within the box, rather than adding to it? There’s More! Continue reading →

Review: Benefit Creaseless Cream eyeshadow - Skinny Jeans

In my first Benefit Cosmetics online order, I picked up a Creaseless Cream Eyeshadow in Skinny Jeans because I was fascinated with the color. It did not help that my friend asked me to order it for her and thus made me look in that direction - bad you! heh…

The Benefit Creaseless Cream Eyeshadow comes in a heavy glass pot which to me looks classier and less tacky than the rest of Benefit’s colourful (and cardboard) packaging. The texture is very smooth to the touch and applies like a dream - like smoothing cream on the skin. My review here will be based on the colour I got, which is Skinny Jeans. There’s More! Shopping at Benefit Cosmetics Online

A while ago, I itched to get something from Benefit Cosmetics, but I balked at paying the high prices we pay here in Malaysia. Yet, I did not have enough in my shopping cart to warrant the free international shipping with purchases of $100 and above. So, I contacted a few friends to share in a bulk order, and 2 weeks ago, our order was placed.

Here are my goodies from Benefit Cosmetics which I received a couple of days ago. Shipping from the USA took just about 2 weeks to Malaysia from the date of the order which I found speedy enough. Benefit Erase Paste - Some thoughts

Ever since Benefit Cosmetics came out with their new Erase Paste concealer I’d been wanting to try it. Is it really as good as they tout it to be?

Benefit says that it is a brightening concealer for the eyes and face. Some early reviews I’d read on it had nothing but good things to say about Erase Paste and what a wonderful godsend it was as a concealer, so naturally, when I saw it being sold here in Kuala Lumpur, I leapt at the chance to test it out.
