Welcome to the inaugural My Women Stuff Reader’s Choice Awards 2011 held for the very first time in Malaysia on a beauty blog!

The MWS Reader’s Choice Awards is where we find out what you, the readers, really like or what your favourite brand or product is! Neither I nor the brands will be able to dictate that decision – its all your choosing!

What is the My Women Stuff (MWS) Reader’s Choice Awards?

Magazines have the best of beauty awards every year but have you wondered why your favourite brand or product is not listed? I want to let you have your voice so the MWS Reader’s Choice Awards is for you. YOU, the readers nominate your favourite brands and products and YOU, the readers vote for your favourites. All winners are therefore YOUR choices!

As MWS is so international, I welcome all submissions by any reader, anywhere. It would be helpful if the brand or product is also available here in Malaysia or online but if it isn’t, then c’est la vie!

How do I vote in the MWS Reader’s Choice Awards?

There is a 2 stage process. Nomination and Voting.

Nomination – When nominations are open, nominate your favourite brand or products in the 25 beauty categories listed. Nominations will be open for a week and thereafter, results will be tabulated and the Top 3-5 brands or products will be shortlisted for voting. It will take a lot of nominations for your favourite product to get on the shortlist, so make sure you tell all your friends to nominate their faves too!

Voting – Once the finalists are shortlisted, the voting process will begin. The brand or product with the most number of votes in its category will win.

When will the winners be announced?

With a little twist, the winners will be announced once results are tabulated, at a little Awards Party to be held at a date and venue to be fixed! Wouldn’t you like that? It will also be simultaneously uploaded on the blog right here so everyone can check in to see if your favourite brand or product has won in its category.

Can I be there at the Awards Party?

Ah… we’re finalizing the party plans as we speak and there will be some places reserved for readers (of course!) so watch this space! Announcements go up on the blog as they happen
