Ask me to name a favourite lipstick formula and I’ll hum and haw for a while, but I’ll eventually get round to putting in my vote for the Guerlain Rouge G lipstick. I liked my first but I wasn’t in love. It wasn’t until I bit the bullet and bought the Rouge G in #25 Garconne that I fell truly head over heels for this lipstick and its beautiful creamy formula. Garconne, as you may have guessed, is a red. Not just any red, one of the best red lipsticks ever. Some day, I might even get round to sharing my thoughts on it.
But you know what? The Guerlain Rouge G in #860 Madame Batifole is a close second and you might want to check it out before it’s gone for good. Darn these limited edition goodness!
Part of the Voilette de Madame Fall 2013 collection, the signature Rouge G packaging has a slightly different design embossed on its cover. “Voilette” translates into “veil” which is shown in the promotional pictures for the collection, and which also reflects the design on the cover. Imagine if you will, a lace veil super imposed over the case. At certain angles, it has also been said it looks like a fish LOL! 😀
