Help! My powder foundation goes on too thick!
I received an email from Intan one day who had a query about her makeup application. Although she had the right foundation/ compact powder colour, and used a light hand, she still felt it went on too thickly. Intan wanted to know if there were any tips to overcome this.

I have replied to Intan but I thought this was a very interesting point, so I decided to write about it here too. There’s More! Continue reading →
Bourjois Ombre Stretch Eyeshadow
I’d used Bourjois eyeshadows before, but were never truly impressed with them. The colours were nice, but the texture was hard. This is possibly due to the fact they are baked. The Bourjois round blushes are worth spending on, but the eyeshadows are hit and miss in my book.
Bourjois has come out with a new eyeshadow though, that looks nothing like their old one.

This one, housed in a rectangular case incorporates nylon microspheres to ensure the colour stretches like fabric. This is so the colour lasts longer. Don’t ask me what that means. I have absolutely no idea! (Read about it if you understand Japanese or read here if you understand French!)
There are 10 colours at present and retail for £5.95 each. I am itching to try the Intense Black 01, Or Extensible 03 and Vert Etirable 05 and maybe Brun Nylon 09. Too bad there’s no Bourjois here in Malaysia. Maybe when I make it down to Singapore and if its available there. Any Singaporeans care to report? ![]()
Review: Benefit Creaseless Cream eyeshadow - Skinny Jeans
In my first Benefit Cosmetics online order, I picked up a Creaseless Cream Eyeshadow in Skinny Jeans because I was fascinated with the color. It did not help that my friend asked me to order it for her and thus made me look in that direction - bad you! heh…

The Benefit Creaseless Cream Eyeshadow comes in a heavy glass pot which to me looks classier and less tacky than the rest of Benefit’s colourful (and cardboard) packaging. The texture is very smooth to the touch and applies like a dream - like smoothing cream on the skin. My review here will be based on the colour I got, which is Skinny Jeans. There’s More! A Revlon Floral Affair for eyes and cheeks
A full 3 months after I wondered if Revlon would bring in their Limited Edition Floral Affair collection, I spotted it in our pharmacies. Of course, I had to test it at the counter to see if they were as pretty on the skin as they look.

The Floral Affair palettes for the eyes are so pretty. Just look at them! There’s More! Continue reading →
