What’s in my makeup pouch? Well, for someone who enjoys her makeup, I don’t carry them around with me everyday. The main reason is because I don’t do much touching up on the go, except for lipsticks or lipglosses. So, my answer to what’s in my makeup pouch is lipsticks and the odd lipgloss!

Getting ready for a Blind Date or First Date + A Giveaway!

I had a blind date sprung on me recently and I found myself in an unenviable position of going “Uh oh… what do I wear? How do I look?” Since it was dinner on a weekend, I found myself with time to work out my look and I thought I’d share my thoughts based on this and other previous experiences. Where to go?

If its dinner that’s planned, try to arrange for a restaurant that you have been to. There is nothing more stressful than wondering what to eat at a new restaurant with someone you barely know! Try to aim also for a restaurant with slightly dimmer lighting (but not so dim you can barely see) and one that’s popular but not overcrowded so you don’t feel rushed, yet if the date isn’t up to par, you aren’t caught in an awkward situation with only 2 of you present. Maybelline Water Shine 3D Collagen lipstick and some lipstick tips

I met up with some bloggers about 2 weeks ago for tea and being all girls, talk naturally turned to cosmetics, shopping and how regrettably expensive things are getting these days. Then, last week, I met up with another bunch of bloggers and again, being all girls (I sense a trend here!) talk naturally turned to cosmetics, shopping and how regrettably expensive things are getting these days!

The only difference at the 2nd tea party was that there was a new toy for me to play with – Maybelline’s Water Shine 3D Collagen lipstick (which fortunately is not expensive at all at only RM28.90!)

I had first noticed this new Maybelline lipstick launch a couple of weeks ago at a Guardian pharmacy. Maybelline comes up with so many new products nearly every month that I’m a little overwhelmed by the new collections. (Aside: I missed the Volume Express mascara promo but I’m told by my friend that its da bomb!) Every now and again, you come across something cheap that works great and you end up wondering why you ever spent any money on high end products when low end ones work just as well!
