Why it is called a cruise line of shoes?
I pulled this off Gucci’s site. I can’t link it as its flash based. But this is Gucci’s Cruise line of shoes. I don’t quite get it, honestly. Why is this line called the Cruise line? Is it because women wear them when they go on cruises? I can’t honestly see myself prancing around in 3 inch stilettos on a cruise ship, no matter how big or how stable they tell you it is.
That said, I think some of the shoes actually look pretty good. Take the one in the middle for example. I can so see myself wearing them. Not on a cruise however, but maybe while cruising the streets. I can’t imagine I’d be able to walk in them very long anyway.

It looks quite innocuous actually. Its a basic peeptoe slingback design, but this shoe, named after the dance, has been spotted on the feet of many A-list celebrities. At a whopping $710 a pop, you can bet it’d better be worth it!
But what’s making it so irresistable other than the price and glamour attached? Its leg lengthening qualities. You see, the higher the heels you wear, the more your feet and legs have to stretch to accomodate it. It throws your back out of whack though, so don’t make it a habit to wear very high heels for long periods of time. When you get older, you’ll suffer for it with back and knee pains.
If the $710 price tag gets to you (as it does me) do check out some cheaper options. Peeptoes are always in for summer and they look elegant. It must be that little bit of toe peeping out that gets people all excited. Its like showing off cleavage on your foot. But watch the height. No point suffering for the sake of fashion eh?
