Haven’t had the time to sort out some photos, but here’s a quick sneak peek at the Guerlain Ecrin 6 colour eyeshadow palette in Rue de Rivoli, Guerlain’s new eye palette for Spring 2011.

Ooh la la! Incidentally, you might be interested to know that each of the Guerlain Ecrin 6 eyeshadow palettes are named after the locations of Guerlain stores. I don’t know how I missed seeing a Guerlain store while in Paris but I did. I will not make that mistake again!

The 5 colours surrounding the center are gorgeous neutral shades that are pretty used on their own. They have a purplish tint to them even if you don’t see it in the pan. Very surprising. But if you want the colour to really pop, that’s where the bright fuchsia pink in the middle comes into play.

Definitely a tricky one!

Not for the faint hearted. Including its price icon smile Rue de Rivoli : Guerlain Ecrin 6 Color Eyeshadow Palette

Love all the colours except the one in the middle. Not a fan of bright colours on my lids :) How’s the texture? Do you think it’s worth RM266? Which would you recommend, this palette or the blush?

The texture is very impressive. The matte shades are smooth and blendable, and the shimmer shades are not over the top. If you aren’t going to use all the colours, it will not be worth the money. If you are its not bad for the price once you divvy up RM266/6 – I love the texture of the shimmer shades ;) As for which I prefer, I’m going to say the blush simply because I do find it a little bit hard to work the pink on the eyes but when I do, and it works, I get compliments. Ultimately, it depends on what rocks your boat – eyeshadow or blush :)

So pretty! so expensive! haha.. i dont know how anyone can finish eye shadows and blush. I still have mine for the longest time. But if thats one eye shadow and blush for you, what will it be?

If you have a lot, it never finishes. You just get bored. LOL! I’m afraid I can’t choose just 1 eyeshadow and blush. Have too many I love and use :D

I love Guerlain Ecrin palettes! The shades are classy, elegant and fool-proof. I also love how these shadows are hard pressed. I have been using 2 Place Vendome palette everyday for the past two weeks and all the shadows still look brand new! :D

I wanted 2 Place Vendome for the longest time but somehow when I saw it in person it fell kinda flat. I am still thinking about it though. That teal shade is beautiful! And you’re right. It does hold up very well under wear :D

2 Place Vendome is my favorite! The shimmery shade is so pretty.. It must be the micro particles of mother of pearl! :D You can see the subtle, but pretty shimmers under the light.
