Ohayo! Look what’s new! Actually I showed you this yesterday so it isn’t new to your eyes :)

mentholatum mojitate kajitsu lipbalm

If you like :-

  1. cute
  2. fruity flavoured
  3. inexpensive
  4. lipbalms

By golly! Head down to the nearest pharmacy and grab yourself a pawful of these Mentholatum Mojitate Kajitsu lipbalms. Even the name is cute! *kawaii*

I’ve held on to a couple – White Peach and Lemon and Lime and I’ve passed the rest around my office :) Here’s some quick thoughts on the Mojitate Kajitsu White Peach and Lemon and Lime lipbalms.

Mojitate Kajitsu Fresh Fruits lipbalm – Overall view

“Mojitate Kajitsu” is supposed to mean “Fresh Fruits” hence the fruity theme. In terms of texture, it swipes on very nicely, and keeps my puckers lovely and flake free. It is supposed to contain honey which is supposed to help with keeping lips nice and this is supposed to be made with real natural fruits. I’m not going to get into that debate 😛

That said, do note that I use the Lucas Papaw Ointment every night so my lips aren’t exactly a peely horrid mess. These lipbalms live in my makeup pouch so I can touch up during the day after sitting in an air conditioned office for hours. The scent is quite strong though so if you are averse to strong fruity scents, stay away. If you like a bit of “flavour” in your lipbalm, you could do worse 😉 Oh I don’t get that “oily” feel that I sometimes get with other lipbalms which is a plus and there is UV Protection and the taste doesn’t last (which I like).

Mojitate Kajitsu lipbalm – White Peach

I love peaches and I love the smell of peaches. The sweet, ripe scent always makes me salivate 😛 The White Peach lipbalm smells and tastes of fresh sweet peaches. mmmm *salivates*

Mojitate Kajitsu lipbalm – Lemon and Lime

If you love citrus flavours, look no further. Lemon & Lime is a lipbalm that smells and tastes of fresh tangy citrus flavours without that dishwashing liquid association! Yay! You cannot believe how rare that is 😛 Tastes a bit like lemon sherbet candy and leaves a very slight cool feel on my lips mmm…

Pros: Affordable, Simple packaging, Keeps lips flake free, No oily feel

Cons: Strong sweet fruity scent

On an overall basis, I’d say there are pretty decent lipbalms in that they do the job i.e. keep your lips flake free. The outer packaging is seriously cute, but the tube itself is plain and the lipbalm is a plain white.

The scent can be strong so please be warned if you are sensitive to strong sweet scents. Otherwise, its a lipbalm that does a decent job.

I only have one more thing to say… Kawaii-neh! 😀

Haha just to be clear, the scent does not last very long. Good or bad depends on your personal tolerance.

Haha, really kawaii :) But I’ll pass, can’t really stand strong fruity scents, especially strawberry. Gives me a very awful headache.

ParisB November 13, 2010 at 7:54 pm

I’m always afraid of that “cough mixture” smell!

i have the peach one. don’t quite like the waxy, minty, plasticky feel on my lips. it dried out my lips instead of keeping it moist. :/

ParisB November 13, 2010 at 7:55 pm

Aww sorry it didn’t work for you :( But thanks for sharing – it might help someone :)

Omg I am a sucker for lip balms. I still have like 10 more and you are tempting me. I hope they do not have beeswax or I’ll just pass…

Yeap Kawaii desu!

ParisB November 13, 2010 at 7:56 pm

Unfortunately, these do contain beeswax :(

Wow the packaging looks cheerful! What’s the difference between this and mylipstuff?

ParisB November 14, 2010 at 9:30 am

Availability mostly as this one is available at Watsons. Also it is less oily than MyLipStuff and the scent does not last as long although the initial scent is quite intense.
