MAC Collections: Fabulous Felines eyeshadow quads, Venomous Villains Beauty Powder, Dare to Wear lipgloss, Haute and Naughty Mascara

I have a couple of photos here of MAC Cosmetics’ upcoming collections. You might have already heard of the upcoming Fabulous Felines collection for Fall 2010, which is inspired by cats. Also on the books is the MAC x Disney collection of Venomous Villains, which unusually celebrates the glamorous, regal beauty of Disney’s villains instead of the many insipid heros and heroines. And finally, a MAC x Rodarte collection that has been attracting a wave of controversy online which I shall not get into here.

Items from all these collections form a part of MAC’s Autumn/Winter 2010 trend looks which I’ll tell you about in a future post. For now, I leave you with some sneak preview photos below :)

One of the upcoming Mineralize Eyeshadows in Venomous Villains under Maleficent (from Sleeping Beauty) called My Dark Magic. Its a duo eyeshadow with shimmery dark purple-pink and purple-black. Looks amazing no?

New lipgloss called Dare to Wear lipglass featuring intense, shimmery, pigmented lip colours.

Also, a new 2 in 1 mascara called Haute and Naughty featuring 2 brushes – 1 to create a lighter day look, 1 for a more intense evening look for more glamourous looking “fashion lashes”.

Finally from the MAC x Rodarte collection, comes a very unique looking mineralize eyeshadow in Bordertown.

Bordertown, described as “black with red, pale blue and silver veining”, looks almost like a planet seen from afar. I’m told it swatches a black-grey shade but as I did not swatch it, I will not place my money on that.

That’s it then. Some quick photos I managed to get, which might or might not whet your appetite for what MAC and Fall 2010 has in store for you :)

Hope you enjoyed them and I’ll bring you any further updates or photos as and when I can get them.

Now, which might you have your eyes on? I think I’d only really be watching out for Venomous Villains because I grew up with Disney cartoons and I love the Evil Queens and Wicked Stepmothers! 😀

Me tooo!!! Ever since I heard the news that Mac is doing the Venomous Villains…. My hands are all itchy…. Just can’t wait for it to come out!! Do you know when will they release it in Malaysia?
I love all the Disney Villains….. (evil grin) hehehehe…. I read a sneak peek one of the lipsticks… Falling in love with it!!!

ParisB July 21, 2010 at 3:36 pm

Venomous Villains is expected sometime in Sept-Oct 2010 but don’t quote me on it 😛

AAAH!!! I’m in love! But whenever I say that, I never get the power to actually fork out the money to get anything. Rationality sucks.

ParisB July 21, 2010 at 8:27 pm

Haha just get 1 thing that you’d like or that’s missing from your stash. That way you can rationalize it more easily

Hey Paris,
I think Mac x Rodarte collection appeals to me the most but I think I will pass after all these politics these few days happening in the blogosphere. I am not a Latin so I can’t quite understand the sentiment but if it were to compared with the Nanking massacre, I can understand where it comes from.
For the autumn collections, I am sticking to:
1. NARS, totally love the colours of the e/ss.
2. Chanel, I am getting the blushes and the eyeliner, probably will try the new rouge coco as well!
3. Guerlain, getting 2 or 3 out of 5 of their very pretty and LE e/ss. These alone will break my bank. And their Rouge G looks very promising, not to forget their new foundation!
4. Dior, I am looking forward to try the new mascara & lash primer. And yes, the new deep plum lip serum!
5. Lancome, Oh I love the French Coquette theme and probably will try those powder/pigment-like stuff!
Did I leave out anything…? I am passing on Givenchy…waiting for Suqqu and RMK announce…oh yes, the new Shu Uemura e/s (one of the two)!
And I really want the Armani brush set from Nordstrom!!! *sob*
Do you have a wish list for the coming collections? xxx

ParisB July 21, 2010 at 11:05 pm

Wow! You got your Fall collections all sorted! I’m not even as up to date 😛

I’m quite keen on Nars Tzarine eyeshadow duo but no way to get it for now – boo! Will check out Chanel’s Pink Explosion blush and Lancome’s blush too. Saw the Lancome eyeshadow quad – looks promising! Not sure about Dior – the eyeshadow palette looks quite similar to previous ones. As for Guerlain the eyeshadow palettes are too far out of budget for me! I might check out one of the other palettes – the purple one isn’t calling to me. Oh and I’m keen on Estee Lauder’s Blue Dahlia palette! 😀

My Dark Magic looks gorgeous, kinda resemble those Style Black mineralize single eyeshadows but this time you get a duo! Same goes to Bordertown – very unique indeed! I hope they do not disappoint when applied. Looking forward to more updates from you!

ParisB July 21, 2010 at 11:08 pm

Err…will try to bring updates. But MAC tends to fly under my radar :) these sneak peeks are cos I got a sneak peek :) but I’m very taken with how pretty the 2 mineralize shadows look

ParisB posting about MAC? now there’s something new! or maybe i’ve just been away too long =) i’m surprised that Rodarte is being released in Malaysia. it’s one of the more limited distribution collections, isn’t it? but whatever it is, after learning more about the so-called “inspiration” behind this collection, i won’t be touching it with a ten foot pole. i love MAC, but this year has been quite the PR disaster for them thus far.

ParisB July 21, 2010 at 11:10 pm

Haha! Considering I purchased 2 MSF, a powder and an eyeliner from MAC this year I guess you could say this is a bit out of the ordinary :) rest assured it’ll be the exception rather than the norm cos I can’t keep up 😛

Steph July 21, 2010 at 7:28 pm

I’m loving these photos :) Can’t wait to see more photos and hear your thoughts on the products from these collections!

ParisB July 21, 2010 at 11:12 pm

Thanks. I’ll share if I check them out when they launch :) but I’m sure there’ll be loads of other blogs already sharing their thoughts when the time comes

Hi…I know it’s but outta topic but I’m heading down to States & I need recommendation on any good cosmetics or beauty products worth checking out whether is drugstore or high end esp those u cant really get in KL… Not much a connoisseur as the only product I’m thinking to stock up is Benefit (if its cheaper-inc tax than their website), Mercier & maybe Smashbox -since I heard good reviews on their primer….. :)

Sugar July 22, 2010 at 10:01 am

Super gorgeous, the two eyeshadow colors! unfortunately, for a makeup noobie like me, i aint gonna be able to use them at all. sigh.

ParisB July 22, 2010 at 12:39 pm

I’d just use em with a light shade. I find dark colors easier to work with actually

melchewvin July 22, 2010 at 11:10 pm

Does anyone know that estee lauder is having a warehouse sale?

Mrs Top Monkey July 23, 2010 at 9:42 am

I think I just spotted a nebula or two in the eyeshadows. I’m intrigued.. how would you use it?

@melchwevin: Estee Lauder having a warehouse sale in Rennaissance on 14 Aug. Entry by invite only, supposed to call their office for one as this sale is a staff sale. PB if you’re going, let me know!

ParisB July 23, 2010 at 10:51 am

You’re supposed to swirl all the colours together or you can use it separately. For me, it just looks pretty!!

melchewvin July 23, 2010 at 5:01 pm

So unfair all warehouse sales no need invitation only Estee Lauder need!

ParisB July 23, 2010 at 5:25 pm

Technically its a “Staff Sale” with limited tickets that Staff can give to friends and family. I think its fair considering the craziness people get up to for this sale. Else it’d be overrun and out of control. Me? I’d be fast asleep on the day LOL

melchewvin July 24, 2010 at 9:06 pm

I think i’ll sleep through it too
