Exercise is the key to losing weight, and having the weight stay off. Combine cardio workouts with strength training (weight training) to tone up your muscles. With more toned muscles, you lose calories even while sitting on the couch watching TV!

Repeat after me…. Diet and Exercise….there are no short cuts. Slimming pills may send one down the painful path of Andrea de Cruz.
Dietwise, incorporate these food items into your diet – oats (tastes yucky, I know), apples (should be easy), eggs (much maligned but it works), cinnamon and almonds. Start your day by drinking a glass of water with two teaspoons of apple cider vinegar. As the mantra goes, breakfast like a king, lunch like a prince and dine like a pauper, instead of in reverse!
Exercisewise, just get moving on whatever activity strikes your fancy – walking, jogging, gym, pilates, swimming, dancing or any combination thereof. I know, I know. it’s easier said than done. For something easier (sorry, married ladies only), get as much nooky as you can – this is advocated by Oprah’s very own health consultant, Dr. Mehmet Oz. Everyone knows you burn lots of calories that way! *wink* wink*.

Oh i read one about Kelly Osbourne’s weight loss secret! and i’m currently trying it out.
It’s to have something without carbos or sugar just before sleeping for keeping the metabolism going on, so to burn fats longer as we sleep. she also paired it with yoga, but i’m pairing it with eating lesser! Lol. I do hope it works!

to travel! or try to stay active by going out meeting friends or random art gallery visits. Esp during weekends where its so easy to skip lunch and yet overcompensate with a heavy dinner or pile up on junk food while sitting in front of the tellies.

1) stress-it works differently from each individual. I went for my uni orientation and I don’t know for what reason I just lost 3 pounds in around 4 days. I don’t know why, its weird though.
2)Drink cold water- When we drink cold water, our body uses energy to warm the water in our body and hence we burn more calories.
3)Go for cardio. Around 500 jumps of skipping rope and 200 times of star jump a day will do the work+squats.
4)weight lifting- To tone the arms though. Building up more muscle mass burns more calories that fat mass.
5)never snack after 8-I know its a tempting supper. But self control is the most basic thing we could do for ourselves.
6)Limit carbs at night-I am a fan of carbs. But I do make sure i don’t binge on carbs stuff after 8.
7) last but not the least. hydrate yourself with lots of water.=)

For me, the easiest dieting tip is to cut out all forms of sweet drinks – no soft drinks and no bottled juices – because these drinks are laden with sugar and they’re extremely high in calorie content! I either go for Coke Light on the rare occassion that I eat McDs or make my own freshly squeezed juice. Other than that, it’s plain water all the way! 🙂

1. Only eat 10 hard-boiled eggs for the first 3 days.
2. No rice or noodle from 4th day onwards. Take only vege and eggs (10). You may only eat 3 yoke and eat all the egg white.
3. Third week onwards, you may eat rice (2 spoonful of rice only) during lunch/dinner.
Basically, the whole diet is to cut down the carbo.

For me, losing weight is quite easy as I found out that I tend to lose weight ‘unconsiously’ while I’m on holiday 🙂 I was not sure why this always happened after I was on a short or long break (3 days or more) from my work, until I read an article which stated that STRESS will cause people to put on weight.
Thinking back and compared to the things I did during my break and my working days, I think I know the real reason behind this. I tend to eat more while I’m working (this could be due to stress as I feel hungry easily while I’m working) and have no time or mood for exercises or any physical activities after my work; as I just feel too tired and lazy to move at all. While you are too tired, you don’t bother to cook your own meal. Hence, eating out or fast food delivery seems to be the most ‘reasonable’ choice 😛
So, I think to lose weight; besides Exercise regularly + Eat Healthy, Take a Break and Free Your Mind from Stress 🙂

Some diet and health tips that I have been practicing:
1. Eat half a grapefruit every morning, this method helped me loose 1kg to 1.5kg over twelve weeks and it does increase my metabolism. With this method I’m sure to loose about 1kg – 3kg each month. And oh, it can help to prevent diabetes too!
2. I always carry a 1 litre water bottle around and I always make sure that I refill it two times a day. There I have it, 2 litre of water a day. This is a way to make sure that I drink at least 2 litre of water a day.
3. For each meal, break them down to half and eat at separate time. For example your lunch, eat half of your lunch around 12pm or 1pm then consume the other half of your lunch around 3pm or 4pm. Do this for 3 of your meals. It will increase your metabolism like crazy! Eat more but in a healthy way to super increase your metabolism. Best to eat after every 3 hours. An apple or a piece of cracker will do for the in between hours of meals.
This method increases my metabolism till I have gastric even if I eat 6 meals a day and makes me sweat even when I’m just sitting down and doing absolutely nothing.

Mine is to sleep enough, cut down on the alcohol, sodas, junk food, carbs, and coffee. Drink teas (green tea and Chinese tea), but don’t add sugar to it.
Oh, and exercise. Something I need more of!

Losing weight is one of my biggest goals! Isn’t it everyones?
I am on a strict no junk, no CNY cookies (failed), no Starbucks (also failed), no soft drinks or anything drink with sugar.
Take the stairs or walk instead of using the car (the heat is killer though, if only it could help us lose weight). Do some exercises, swimming, weights, etc.
Eat lots of fruits and vege, no unhealthy snacking, no eating after 8. Drink lots of water half hour before food.
Don’t skip meals or breakfast.
Sleep 8 hours or more.
