Dior Spring 2010 Quick Makeup Look – Pearl Glow and Pink Lace

by ParisB on January 7, 2010

in Blush, Collections, Eyeshadow, Highlighter

If you follow my Twitter status today, you’d know I’ve done it. I’ve hardened my heart and gone right ahead to deflower the Dior Pearl Glow and Pink Lace palettes!

Since buddy Geek has asked for a look, click over after the jump to see a quick look I did for today. I’m just experimenting for now though and this was my first attempt!

Just very quickly, the Poudrier Dentelle Pink Lace illuminating Powder is less of a blush then a highlight  but if you layer it, and are fair skinned, it will show up a light flush of pink that’s pretty. However, if you over do it it might be a little frosty.

The Dior Pearl Glow eyeshadow palette is gorgeous. I used only 3 colours:-

  • Blue (middle) – Lashline and smudged upwards and outwards
  • Gray (bottom left) – inner corner and highlight
  • Pueple (top left) – outer lid / crease

The colours are soft, iridescent and can be layered for intensity. Very pretty.

The Dior Spring 2010 collection should be available at the counters later this month. I’m going to try another look another tomorrow or perhaps next week so if you’d like to see that, do let me know and I’ll try to oblige :)   A more detailed review of both products complete with swatches will come later.

Thank you so much for indulging in my nonsense! That’s such a great look! I’m going to try and replicate it tomorrow, if I don’t snooze too much in the morning… :)

no worries makeup is meant to be used! no point storing them and then one day it’ll go bad :p the powder looks lush on your cheeks! by the way you are a big fan of red lippies arent you? :) i recently bought the chanel ra laque dragon and i havent plucked up the courage to wear it out.

Hiya Aretha

You said it! Makeup, no matter how pretty should be used to be fully appreciated. Yes I love red lippies and I”m thinking of getting the Chanel lip laquer too! But maybe not in Dragon :)

Will you please do a swatch (and hopefully face example) of your Dior Lace in both peach and pink for comparison to each other? I’m trying to decide which one to buy! Thanks in advance <3

I’d love to do that but I don’t own Peach Lace :( I find Peach Lace a little too dull and orange (plus its less pretty) :)
