At one point years ago I had really dry hair due to being in air-con all the time at work, I was using Avalon and other more commercially available shampoos and conditioners – plus i found i needed to wash every 2 days because otherwise my scalp would feel really oily

I switched to the Paul Penders shampoo / conditioner and my hair wasn’t dry anymore, plus i found that my scalp felt a lot cleaner and i didn’t absolutely feel like a grease farm the day after washing (washing hair too often dries it out and is bad for roots). They’ve changed formulations a few times since the first one i tried (which i still like best i think), the last formulation was ok, still using it up, can’t wait to finish it up so I can try the newest formulation.

just a question, hope is not stupid. There are so many shampoos out conditioner out there is there one that can work for all. I want to use good color shampoos but i noticed it leaves the hair a bit dry. Feeling is not that soft. But i want one that can do all the above
Leave it soft and manageable and yet protects color

apparently good expensive shampoo dont lather as much as cheap ones. like the kerastase bain mirroir color shampoo which is really good but doesnt leave that squeaky clean feeling i want! and thats v important for me because i have really long hair and i need a clean scalp to avoid dandruff. i can recommend you this brand. Its called Pureology ( a sub brand of Redken) and its only available at Redken hair salons. It claims to be organic , sulphate and paraben free but it really lathers up! And you really only need a dime size amount. My stylist from SOHO @Starhill recommended it. Its really good. Been using it for about a month now and my color is still super shiny.
