This baby just came in the mail today – the infamous Lancome Erika F Ombre Absolue eyeshadow *takes deep breath and gazes in awe*

Lancome erika f

I’d been stalking every Lancome counter I come across in Malaysia for this but because its such a best selling colour, its always sold out. It puzzles me why every time I ask a sales person if they have Lancome Ombre Absolue #133 Erika F they always give me a blank look. Its not until I drag them to their tester counter and point it out does a spark of recognition enter their eyes and they shake their heads indicating they are out of it.

So, tired of going round the counters (they never called me back anyway although I left my number) I resorted to stalking online stores, in particular StrawberryNET.com. I’d seen it there before and I knew that if I was patient, I’d be able to snag it again.

After months and months of stalking I was so surprised to see #133 G40 Erika F pop up on the screen, I positively froze! Then, I quickly hit the Buy button and waited for it to arrive which it did today! Yay! :D

Erika F is a lovely green-gray-silver colour. Its available in the Lancome Color Focus Quads in #308, #104 and #105. I own #308 and #104 but I wanted Erika F on its own too as its such a versatile colour. I use it both as lid colour or as crease colour and it always turns out looking good. Benefit Skinny Jeans is a fair dupe but nothing beats the real thing!

If you can’t find this color at your Lancome counter, try StrawberryNET.com. Patient stalking definitely pays off!

Happy happy! Joy joy!

i find this colour looks prettier in pan than how it really is on me. i must have something darker to compliment it or else it’s quite ordinary on me. what a shame as it’s such a gorgeous colour. shimmers, glitters and a muted olive green underneath. i have yet to see an olive green so beautiful but my colour and eye shape aren’t made for it solo. darn it.

beautiful eye shadow for sure.

Hey Jojoba

Aww… I love this colour in any form whether as a crease shade or as a lid shade or on its own. But its a darned hard colour to photograph that’s for sure!

Hi makeupmag

Yes it is! And I’m glad I’m not the only one crazy enough to get it both as a single and in a quad ;)
