Beautilicious - New Malaysian Cosmetics Brand

I came across the launch of a new local Malaysian cosmetics brand in the newspapers some time this week. The name Beautilicious stuck in my mind because it reminded me of Tine of Beautyholics Anonymous! But that aside, I was quite intrigued to see how a new local brand fares with all that competition out there.

Beautilicious is the brainchild of a local makeup artist who decided to come up with her own brand. I googled it and it turned up a website. www.beautilicious.com.my. So you want a NARS Blush?

I just stumbled upon a site that sells NARS, Trish McEvoy and a variety of other high end brands online, and here’s the clincher - THEY SHIP INTERNATIONALLY!!

The store is called Kiss and Makeup and is based in New York, USA. The price of a NARS Blush is US$25 (same as on the Nars website) and shipping worldwide is only $5.95 flat rate however much you buy. Nars Cosmetics’s website is a good place to start looking at the color swatches or you can view my Nars Blush collection. (I don’t own some anymore).

I’m actually sorely tempted by the Trish McEvoy powder brush #5. I’ve read glowing reviews about it and about how soft it is. But it is retailing at US$72 *whimper*

Did I mention Kiss and Makeup takes paypal? *hides my paypal account* Maybe we should just join our orders and save on shipping LOL…

Benefit Cosmetics takes on the brides!

Benefit Cosmetics is doing a most unconventional spin on the wedding season and bridal makeup. Instead of telling you just how pretty a bride can look on her wedding day, Benefit is taking to telling the guests just how much they can outshine the bride! I love the irony. You know why? That’s because Benefit knows that there may be 200 women in the bridal party and guests combined but there is only 1 bride! So, why target one when you can target many?

For someone who doesn’t usually take two looks at Benefit Cosmetics, I suddenly have an urge to check these stuff out. After all, there’s nothing wrong in being prettier than the bride!

New Maybelline Angelfit Liquid Foundation

I saw the new Maybelline Angelfit liquid foundation as I was passing by a Watsons store recently. I’d been meaning to try the Angelfit 2-way powder foundation (review by Tine) for a while but never got around to doing it mainly because I’m on a mission to finish up my existing powder foundations first.

Angelfit is an Asia only line of Maybelline New York cosmetics. I believe they were originally made for Japan only and were made to suit Asian (oriental) skin coloring and skin tone and Asian skin needs. There’s More! Continue reading →
