Beauty Roundup: 1 October 2007

October 1, 2007 Paris B 5 Comments

As September draws to a close and we fall into October (bad pun I know!) I thought I’d do a roundup of beauty reviews I’ve come across in the past fortnight. I love reading and writing reviews and sometimes, after reading others’ reviews, you find you just have to try that amazing new product… or not as the case may be.

  • Pinkelle Reviews Biotherm’s Sunfitness sunscreen. I am a big big advocate of using sunscreen so this is a good time to learn of new ones.
  • While on the subject of sunscreen, Geekchic reviewed the Kanebo Freshel White C Day Protector that makes me want to try that one now!
  • Tine at Beautyholics Anonymous has reviewed something practical in the Olay Regenerist Eye Lifting Serum. Her verdict was that it did not work for her pretty much the same as the serum for the face that did not work for me either.
  • Jessie at a new beauty blog – Beauty Loves – highlighted the Elianto Baked blush, a cheap yet easily overlooked shimmer blush. Sounds promising!
  • I’m experimenting with mineral makeup again and this review of Lily Lolo mineral makeup on the Mineral Makeup Blog sounds nice. Actually, it was the name that got me, its so cute!

I do take requests to be featured, if you feel there’s an article of yours that should get some airplay. Just read more about my Beauty Roundup project and drop me a line before the next round up on 15 October 2007.

Stay beautiful!

I’m gonna try the Biotherm one and see coz I’m currently using Biotherm’s make up base with SPF and I love it to bits.

Oh btw, did you see the new Chanel’s Fall Make Up palette (on MakeupBag i think)? Its so pretty..the colors. I wonder when are they gonna come here.

PB says: Ooh I’d been wanting to try the Biotherm base. Heard a lot of good things about it. I saw the pic of the palette but am not tempted because lippies in palettes don’t make a happy PB lol…

feels great that someone might find my reviews useful.

As for the biotherm makeup base, I’ve tested out the pink one at the counter and it gives a slight shimmer that looks gorgeous. droooooool

PB says: You’re welcome and now I need to check out that Biotherm!

I’m using the yellow one..some anti-dullness thingy and it serves as an eye brightener too. Can’t skip it man coz it really makes a big difference. With it, your skin is much brighter. Heehee.

PB says: Ooh will check it out next time I’m at the counter

I have used Kanebo Blanchir sunscreen for almost a year and it has never failed me. Maybe you would be interested to try if you can get one. It is Blanchir Day Mosturiser, acts as double mosturiser and sunscreen. I think you will love it!

PB says: Welcome! I love Kanebo Blanchir skincare so thanks for drawing my attention to this one 🙂
