A moment’s pause

World famous opera tenor, Luciano Pavarotti has passed away and with him passes a legend. He was 71. I’m not much of an opera fan but in my generation, say Pavarotti and everyone knows you are referring to the large tenor who was as well known for his love for food as he was for his singing prowess.

Our garden of life has lost one of its songbirds. May his soul rest in peace in the knowledge that he helped to bring the romance of opera to the far reaches of the world – Malaysia not excepted.
