Sleep is rejuvenating. Its the best cure for any time you feel under the weather, or if you find your skin looking dull. Lack of sleep is not good for the skin as only when we sleep does our skin relax enough for it to repair itself. So, if you have to pull all nighters at work, try not to do it on a constant basis. Also, if you find that your bedroom gets the morning sun or your curtains are too light, consider using some black out roller blinds to block out the sunshine if it wakes you up too early in the morning.
Experts recommend at least 8 hours of sleep a day, but sleep requirements differ from person to person. I for example, need more than 8 hours a day to properly recharge my batteries, so on weekends, I make up for it by catching naps or sleeping in. Others I know don’t need 8 hours and can function easily on much less sleep. At the end of the day, it boils down to how long you need to rejuvenate your body.
