Ephedra health warning

Jul 17, 2007 | Health, Promotions

If you take dietary supplements or slimming pills for weight loss, do check the ingredient list to see if it contains Ephedra. The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has banned the use of Ephedra in dierary supplements as research has shown that this herbal drug increases blood pressure and stresses the heart thereby leading to an increased risk of heart problems. So, if you want to embark on a course of slimming pills, please check to see they are a Ephedra-free and that they are approved for use by the Ministry of Health. Being slim is one thing. Dying for beauty is another story altogether. You can read more about Ephedra online by googling “ephedra”.
