I've heard that using EVOO on your face will cause you to purge, the breakouts you'll receive at the beginning is part of the cleansing or detox that your face goes through. If anyone decides to try again, stick with the regime for a while longer and see if breakouts diminish overtime.

A little late of a comment but I tried making a toner last week with apple cider vinegar and green tea and then at the end decided to add about 1 teaspoon of olive oil. BIG MISTAKE. My skin is known to be perfectly clear and gorgeous... and then I ended up with break outs on my chin and forehead! :( I freaked out since I'd never had anything like that happen to me! And I have dry skin... so olive oil stays in the kitchen FORSURE.

Doris: Heh... I think I'll keep to eating the oil instead of using it hehe...

Fiori: Oh it would be nice if you could update us on your progress with using Olive Oil. Why I got wary with it is because I never had problems with other forms of cleansing before this, and Vitamin E oil doesn't give me the bumps.

Maybe its because its cleansing your skin. I've heard that when products are working in cleaning and purifying your skin they work from the inside out. So maybe this is why. I'm going to try it tonight and I will update also because I have comination skin as well. My skin is a little oily around my nose chin and forehead throughout the middle of the day and very very dry around the upper part of my lip between my nose and upper lips so we'll see.

Hi PB.. be careful of putting any oil on combination skin, esp on T-zone... can lead to break out easily :) ON skin maybe ok but then hor, I still feel funny about the smell of olive oil on skin :)

Hey PB... try not to use oil on T-zone if you have oily skin, tends to lead to a break out. Actually.. I think olive oil is ok on skin but on face... I'm a little skeptical :)
