I pass by a little tattoo parlour in Petaling Street and everytime, I look in warily, and look away again. Tattoos and tattoo pictures fascinate me. It fascinates me that people voluntarily go through all that pain and discomfort to have something permanently etched on your skin. I mean, when you are young and your skin is taut, it looks all good. But what happens when you get older and your skin starts to sag?
I know someone who has a butterfly tattooed on her ankle. That must have hurt as there is so little fat under the skin there. Another I’ve seen is a rose tattooed on her breast. Yes, just low enough that you can hide it under a shirt, but not so low that it doesn’t peek out. I hope she understood why I kept staring at her bust! Me? I’m a scaredy-cat, so no tattoos for me… not yet heh
