Be careful when putting your property up for sale

This is more of a warning post than one telling you how to sell your property. We have a house that we have since moved out of and have put on the market for sale. When we told people we had done so, those who did not know we had moved were concerned.

Apparently, there are people who go round preying on people who advertise their houses for sale. They target houses which are put up on the market, but whose owners are still staying in there until its sold. Feigning interest in the property, they’ll come to the house purportedly to view the property, and when you let them in, they’ll rob you.

That was a worrying piece of news. I’m glad we decided to move first, then sell. Its safer, and always go with a reputable real estate marketing company instead of doing it yourself. Never compromise your personal safety just to save a few bucks!
