Hair loss concerns

Mar 27, 2007 | Promotions

I wash my hair every day. It maybe something to do with our hot and humid weather here. My scalp will get oily throughout the day, which makes my hair feel greasy. If I don’t wash my hair for one day, it straightaway feels like a cap on my head, which is really uncomfortable.

While washing my hair lately, I’ve noticed that there seems to be a lot of hair coming out in my hands. I was worried and thought I was losing my hair. Being vain, I’d probably have to go for hair restoration just so I’d look normal again. However, I checked with my hairdresser and he told me not to be unduly worried as you can afford to lose up to 50 strands of hair a day! Now, that’s a thought - imagine how much more hair there is left on your head!

Haha…we seem to have quite a bit of similarities based on what you’ve blogged today. I have greasy scalp and need to wash my hair twice a day. I just have enough hair but it’s very fine. In fact, by mid day my scalp can start to secrete oil…so I must use dry shampoo everyday.

sigh…I know what you mean…wash everyday, ends dry out…wash every other day, scalp feels like an oil spill. Worst thing is, when you have long hair, the strands you lose seem like a LOT!!
